Cynthia will be a strong, nonpartisan leader for GCISD
“As a former GCISD school board member and Grapevine native, I fully endorse Cynthia Rial Graham for GCISD Place 1. She will return the board to the nonpolitical governing body it is supposed to be.
She isn’t bought and paid for by a huge political PAC so she will represent the REAL needs of the GCISD not political motivations from outside the district.”

Cynthia is committed to addressing every child’s unique needs
“My daughter, Sofia, has been struggling with reading and we have had concerns she may have Dyslexia, and Cynthia went above and beyond to offer her assistance. Upon learning of my concerns, Cynthia proactively reached out and personally dedicated her time to work with my daughter. Her commitment to addressing the unique needs of students with learning differences was evident in the patience, expertise, and encouragement she provided during this time.
I firmly believe that Cynthia Rial Graham’s compassionate approach to education, as evidenced by her support for both students and parents, makes her an outstanding candidate for the School Board. Her dedication to fostering positive relationships, coupled with her passion for the well-being of all students, aligns perfectly with the values we need in a School Board representative.”

Cynthia helped my quality of teaching
Cynthia has impacted my professional life in a very positive way, and it’s helped my quality of teaching and the way I serve GCISD and the Dual Program. Thanks to her constant motivation and support, today I am part of the committee that scores the AP Spanish Language and Culture exams for the College Board, I’ve obtained my Master’s Degree in Bilingual Education and I’m also completing my second semester of my Doctorate of Education. All thanks to Cynthia being my mentor.

Cynthia is dedicated to the children of GCISD
“I have not had the pleasure of working with Cynthia in an official capacity, but I am nothing less than impressed with her passion for education and dedication to the children of our district. She is an intelligent, compassionate woman who will do great things for our district.
She stays informed of all the issues affecting our kids, speaks up at GCISD board meetings, and works hard to keep the kids in our district safe. I am delighted Cynthia has chosen to run for the school board.”

Cynthia shaped me as a student
“I had the opportunity to have Cynthia as my teacher in Elementary School, and she is one of the people in my life who helped shape the person I am today. When my classmates and I struggled with a lesson, she asked other instructors or found ways that we could understand the material.
She helped and supported my family and me, and for that, we are beyond grateful. Cynthia stays informed, she is enthusiastic, and encourages those around her. Her dedication, support, and passion is exactly the kind of person who I would love to represent us on the School Board.”
— Annie Plancarte, Former Student
Cynthia respects educators and advocates for their concerns
“Working with Cynthia has had a positive impact on me as both an educator and individual. I met Cynthia as an intern and was given the pleasure to be her coachee during my first two years of teaching. From the beginning you could tell that Cynthia cares and respects educators as professionals. She made sure to purposefully listen to our concerns as educators and made sure to take our opinions into consideration when presented with district initiatives. She was always advocating for us on the administrative side to ensure we had what we needed as educators.
As a coach Cynthia was very knowledgeable in the curriculum and resources that the district provided. She was always able to help me come up with unique solutions to help me grow and be the best teacher I could be for my students. As an individual Cynthia has pushed me to further my education in curriculum and instruction. Knowing that Cynthia is running for GCISD’s school board assures me that my former students have the support and advocate that they deserve.”

Cynthia encouraged me to be my best self
“Cynthia Rial has played a huge role not only as my 4th grade teacher at Collins Elementary, but also in my personal life. She always strived to go above and beyond for her students in the classroom setting, outside of school. I learned about the importance of leadership through her as my Girl Scout leader and about table etiquette in the classes that she taught us. These are all things I practiced throughout the rest of my school years including college and in my real life today.
At the time my parents were always working and they didn’t have the time to involve me in extracurricular activities outside of school, so it was nice to have a teacher who truly cared about us and allowed us to have these opportunities. She is a teacher that makes the classroom setting a safe space, makes learning fun, and encourages their students to be their best self. I knew it at the time, but even more so now that I’ve had plenty of teachers that it is evident that her best interest are always her students and their learning. I hope many other students get to experience a teacher like her at least once.”

Her wisdom and belief in my abilities gave me the confidence to chase my dream
“I could write a chapter book about how Mrs. Rial Graham made an impact in my life.
As I reflect on the impact Mrs. Rial Graham had on my life, both as a teen and as an adult, I am compelled to express my deepest gratitude and admiration for the incredible person and educator she is. Her way of teaching and the ability of creating meaningful connections with her students created an environment where curiosity and knowledge thrived.
I will never forget the Girls Scout weekend field trip we shared, where I witnessed her true leadership and love for her students.
In addition, her commitment to building a strong relationship with families did not go unnoticed. I still remember that afternoon in my sister’s parent meeting in which Mrs. Rial Graham took the time to advise and give me information to apply for college. Her words made a great impact in a time in which I was confused about my future.
As I embarked on my journey into adulthood and pursuing my own educational aspirations, her support and guidance are invaluable. Not only did she guide me in getting to the education field but she gave me the tools to do so. Her words of wisdom, encouragement and belief in my abilities gave me the confidence to chase my dream. I am forever grateful to have had the privilege of meeting Mrs. Rial Graham. She is the best example of what it means to lead with compassion, dedication and integrity!
