Hi! My name is Cynthia Rial Graham, M.Ed, and I am running for Grapevine-Colleyville ISD School Board Trustee, Place 1. I will bring over twenty years of experience in Texas education to my role as trustee.
Work
I currently serve as a Teaching Consultant at the Education Service Center Region 10, which serves over 120 schools in the region. I also worked for five years in Grapevine-Colleyville ISD as a World Languages Instructional Coach.
Volunteering
I am dedicated to giving back to our community. My volunteer work includes:
- PTA President at Grapevine Middle School
- GCISD Bond Advisory Committee, which studied and prioritized potential bond projects and ways to create the best possible learning environment for GCISD students
- GCISD SHAC Committee
- Big Sister for Big Brothers Big Sisters Texas
- Girl Scout Troop Leader
- Grant writing for teachers and campuses — obtained $200,000+ in grants for books for students, materials for teachers and playground equipment
- I also coordinate fundraisers for my son’s cross country races
Personal
I am a proud cross country mom to a student currently enrolled in GCISD, a multilingual educator, a wife to my wonderful husband David, and an author. I have a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and a master’s degree in Educational Administration. I enjoy traveling with my family and our pet boxer.
